Units:4 Four weeks supervised field work in the western US. Principles/ methods for geological mapping. May include preparing maps, cross-sections, stratigraphic columns, written and oral geologic reports. Living expenses and a portion of camp expenses borne by student. Typically available only during summer. Recommended preparation: GEOL 306 & GEOL 344. Division: Upper Division Requisites: Pre-requisite: GEOL 314, GEOL 334, GEOL 435, and GPA of 2.0 or higher for all geology courses. Permission to enroll: No Special Consent Required Grading mode: Optional Grade Basis Weekly: Laboratory 12 hrs.
