Oceanography Minor

Return to: Minors
The Oceanography minor is designed for students majoring in another program to broaden their understanding of ocean sciences and related topics. The Oceanography minor provides students with at least seven field trips on the Cal Poly Humboldt research vessel as well as hands-on laboratory experiences and data analysis techniques on the main campus and at the coastal Marine Laboratory. The minor allows for students to focus their upper division coursework in the subfields they are most interested in (chemical, geological, biological, or physical oceanography). With the flexibility in minor course requirements, students may also be able to apply courses from their major program towards completing the Oceanography minor.
