Major Notes:

[1] Some concentration courses will double-count for GE and/or DCG. If you do not select double-count courses you will need to add separate courses to meet the requirements. Plan your courses in consultation with an advisor.

[2] Discuss your plan for concentration courses with your advisor. Not all courses are offered every semester, and some courses have prerequisites. Students in the Linguistic Anthropology concentration should take particular note of the rotation for ANTH 340, ANTH 341, and ANTH 390.

Transfer Notes


  • Complete enough units to reach the total of 120 units required for the degree.
  • Complete two Diversity and Common Ground (DCG) courses, at least one course must have a domestic focus (DCG-domestic). Look for General Education courses that double-count for DCG.
  • Complete 9 units upper division General Education (3 units each areas B, C and D); and any lower division GE or American Institutions (US History and US/CA Government) courses not taken prior to transfer.
