Literature Minor

The Literature Minor is an opportunity to specialize in the study of literatures in English. Choose from a range of classes focused on specific historical, cultural, and political contexts, genres, audiences, and topics. Enhance your skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking. Gain perspective on how literature connects to lived experiences, current events, and other forms of artistic practice.

The minor is open to students in any major, including students in the B.A. English program.

Requirements for the Minor (15 units)

Complete a minimum of 15 units, 11 of which must be upper division, no more than 3 units may be general education courses. At least 9 units must be distinct from units used to fulfill requirements for the English major.
