The History Education concentration is certified by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) as a Subject Matter Program for Secondary Education Social Sciences. Students who successfully complete this concentration will have demonstrated subject matter competency in the Social Sciences and therefore will not be required to take the California Subject Exam for Teachers (CSET) for Social Science. The History Education concentration prepares students to enter a Single Subject Secondary Education Credential program after they graduate with their B.A. degree.
