Biology Minor

Requirements for the Minor (23-24 units)

Lower Division

BIOL 105 - Principles of Biology Units: 4
BOT 105 - General Botany Units: 4
ZOOL 110 - Introductory Zoology Units: 4

Upper Division

Complete one of the following courses.

BIOL 350 - Cell Biology Units: 3
BOT 310 - General Plant Physiology Units: 4
ZOOL 310 - Animal Physiology Units: 4
ZOOL 312 - Human Physiology Units: 4

Upper Division Electives

Complete an additional 8 units of upper division courses (approved by minor advisor) in at least two of these three areas: biology (BIOL), botany (BOT) and zoology (ZOOL). Of these 8 units, a minimum of 6 units must be courses NOT used to satisfy major requirements. BIOL 307 is the only upper division GE Area B course that can be used to satisfy requirements for the biology minor.
