Requirements for the Minor (18 units)

Before beginning, make an appointment with the advisor. After completing two courses, file a program plan. Complete 18 units, composed of at least two courses from each of the following three categories.

Policy/Political Process

Complete two courses from the following:

ESM 325 - Environmental Law & Regulation Units: 3
ESM 425 - Environmental Impact Assessment Units: 3
ENGR 410 - Environmental Health & Impact Assessment Units: 3
PSCI 317 - Public Policy Process Units: 4

Water Resources - Social Aspects

Complete two courses from the following:

NAS 366 - Tribal Water Rights Units: 4
PSCI 352 - Water Politics Units: 4
PSCI 365 - Political Ecology Units: 4
or
GEOG 365 - Political Ecology Units: 4
ECON 423 - Environmental & Natural Resources Economics Units: 3

Water Resources - Physical Aspects

Complete two courses from the following list or other appropriate courses with approval of minor advisor.

WSHD 333 - Wildland Water Quality Units: 3
WSHD 310 - Hydrology & Watershed Management Units: 4
FISH 320 - Limnology Units: 3
FISH 476 - Ecology of Running Waters Units: 3
GEOG 473 - Topics in Physical Geography Units: 1-4 (with topic: Global Water Resources. 3 units are required.)
