Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction (SI) helps you maximize your study time, get to know your peers and learn strategies for success from a peer leader who already took the class. Visit the Learning Center SI webpage to learn more about the SI program and current schedule.

Enrollment opens a few weeks after registration and SI classes start the first week of the semester. Students who participate in SI regularly earn a half to full letter grade higher than students who don’t.

Optional Supplemental Instruction Courses

If you take BIOL 102 or BIOL 105 or BIOL 340, you can add BIOL 198 - Supplemental Instruction Units: 1
If you take BOT 105, you can add BOT 198 - Supplemental Instruction Units: 1
If you take CHEM 107, CHEM 109, CHEM 110 or CHEM 228, you can add CHEM 198 - Supplemental Instruction Units: 1
If you take PHIL 100, you can add PHIL 198 - Supplemental Instruction in Logic Units: 1
If you take PHYX 106, you can add PHYX 198 - Supplemental Instruction Units: 1
If you take PSYC 109, you can add PSYC 198 - Supplemental Instruction Units: 1
If you take ZOOL 110, you can add ZOOL 198 - Supplemental Instruction Units: 1
