Major Academic Plans or MAPs show what courses you might take each semester to meet your major’s requirements. Students at Cal Poly Humboldt follow many different paths to graduation. Your educational and career goals, as well as personal interests all contribute to determining the courses you take. We encourage you to discuss course options with an advisor.

Build your personalized plan in DARS plans using the MAP as a resource. Meet with your advisor each semester to assist in planning and to review your progress. 

The GE requirements in the following MAPS are in effect for students entering Cal Poly Humboldt with the catalog year of 2022-23. See the archive for prior maps.

Step 1: Pick a MAP based on your major. If you’re undecided, there’s a MAP for you too (Undeclared).

Step 2: Learn which GE math class to take at GE Math & Enrollment Categories.

Step 3: Build your personalized semester-by-semester degree plan in DARS Plans using the MAP as a guide. Discuss course options with your advisor or the Academic and Career Advising Center.
